It's Alive!

What's this I hear about LiveJournal "dying"? Several LJers have made that claim, but I don't see what they mean from where I'm sitting. While some of the LJ blogs I read/watch have been slower at posting (as I have been in recent weeks), my reading list is so active and so diverse that I have felt perpetually behind on reading for the past month. For the time being I have no interest in blogging elsewhere as much as I blog here, and I have plenty enough to read to keep me here.

Anyway, I know I haven't posted much as of late, but it is not due to defecting to some other blogging site or losing interest in y'alls posts. I'm still here, and I'm glad you are still here, too.

I am more posty in the fall I think. I've gotten a bit more active here as the school year gets underway. In fact, I was thinking of making this a livejournal posty mcposter weekend!

After six years, mosat of the people I first used to read have given up posting anymore, so I go in search of new people and luckily I find ones like you who post great stuff. LJ really stops and starts I find.

i marvel at how i used to post daily (egads multiple times a day) in years past. now i pop in to read every week or so... there are so many demands on my time and attention, but yet when I come back here I am always catching up... i hope to share more in time... this place is still the best place for personal revelation.

It's slower, but is that necessarily bad when so much was dreck and dross?

I still read LJ several times a day. I did have to cut my reading list down quite a bit, though. It's pretty exclusive to good friends and people who post about their lives. Too many of my writer friends started posting only about their books or their friends books. I don't want to read commercials all day! But talk to me about life, and issues, and post pictures, and let me into your mind? I'm there, dude.

With Twitter and stuff like that, I feel like people are much less inclined to write out long blog posts, though. And I don't get nearly as many comments on entries as I used to.

I should blog more. It's just that I often don't feel as if I have a lot to say these days.

<3 My flist is definitely still hopping. Admittedly, my journal has kind of been hijacked by Buffy ;) but it's keeping me posting.
