Contemplating Freedom and Warmer Days

Today is cold, wet, and grey. I need to run out to the post office before going to my eye appointment in the middle of the afternoon. The fresh air will be nice, but the cold wetness will not.

Last night I heard a comforting sound: the steam rising through the radiators for the first time this season. The knocking in the pipes makes me happy and turns my mind towards hibernation.

In a completely unrelated note, my hair has grown a lot more than I had realized.
