Due to Monday's (19 January 2009) increase in USPS Priority Mail prices, we have chosen to ship items via USPS First Class mail. This will keep your shipping costs way down from where they were. Domestic shipping prices include delivery confirmation, so we can track your shipment and make sure you receive it. Items which previously included domestic postage (note cards and iPod cozies) have had their prices reduced, and shipping is now separate.

(As an aside, the USPS will announce new stamp prices next month, with those prices going into effect in May. Make sure you buy "Forever" stamps between now and then, so you won't have to worry about needing additional postage!)

Along with the price changes, some expired listings have been resurrected. Be sure to check the shop to see if an old favorite you wish you had bought before is back!

Didn't know you crocheted. I never have been able to master either crochet or knitting. I can weave yarn on a cardboard handloom, but that's the only yarn work I've been able to master. I'd love to learn to weave on a full scale loom some day. Hand sewing clothes is like second nature to me. I haven't done embroidery, needlepoint or quilting yet, but I know I could teach myself fairly easily since all three of those involve the same skills as sewing clothing.

I tried to learn how to knit using one of those round plastic looms, but I did something wrong and the yarn got tight and wasn't adding rows. (I think I pulled the yarn too tight, used to sewing, and even with weaving you keep everything tight.) I'd like to be able to knit so I could make cute sweaters for my dolls.

I learned crochet from my third-grade teacher and knitting from my mother. Right now crochet is my favorite, because it is much faster than knitting. I like knitting, because I can make far more complex patterns with it, and the stitches are neater, but I have to be in the frame of mind to knit.
