If T didn't have back trouble, the bike would be comfortable for her. She plans to buy a recumbent bike in the near future, to solve that issue.
The main issue with the folding bike is the size of the wheels means you cover a lot less ground per crank than you would on a large bike. If I go any faster than 9-10mph, I leave her in my wake. (Her back problems mean she can't pedal very fast, too.) But comfort-wise, she has no complaints.
