Eddie's Sweet Shop
Mar. 29th, 2009 10:15 amDuring yesterday's stroll T and I discovered Eddie's Sweet Shop, a 95-year-old establishment that serves homemade ice cream. We decided this required further investigation and stopped inside for a quick snack.

The place looks like something out of the 1950s. The counter is made of old marble, and you can have your ice cream there, if you don't prefer a table in the rear. My first thought when I saw it was, "This place has character!"

The ice cream is homemade. Of course, we had to sample it. It was delicious, and because it is homemade, the ice cream was not overly sweet.

It's a good thing I had the rest of the way home (about a mile, maybe a little more) to walk off that hot fudge goodness. :-)
