Finding A Treasure
Apr. 3rd, 2009 05:17 pmMy Etsy shop is part of the Photographers of Etsy (POE) Street Team, and I am responsible for putting together daily lists of the Etsy treasuries which feature POE members' work. Other POE team members send treasury links to me, I compile the list, and then I send it to the team. In the process of receiving the links, I sometimes have interesting conversations with other team members. I also get to have a first glance at my fellow team members' work before the rest of the team does.
Yesterday I received a link about King, a 5x7 photographic note card. I took one look at the photo, fell in love with it, and bought it on the spot. The shop owner was thrilled by the quick sale to a fellow team member. I can hardly wait to receive it; I know just the person to use it for!

Date: 2009-04-04 01:26 am (UTC)POE is a team made up of Etsy sellers. The group was formed to help photographers have more of a presence on Etsy, since most of Etsy is not geared towards photography. We have a blog and put on a monthly slide show on YouTube to help get the word out about us. It's a good networking tool for us, too.

Date: 2009-04-06 02:47 am (UTC)You have some lovely stuff up at Etsy that I hadn't seen before. I'm particularly fond of the Snow in the Park shot -- that makes me think of snuggling up under a quilt with a cup of hot chocolate and watching the snow fall. I like pictures that tell a story or make me feel something.
