The Wheels on the Bike Go 'Round and 'Round...

Today a friend of T's met us so she could practice riding in an empty lot. (Until she gets her license, she is supposed to ride only in the line of sight of another licensed rider.) This is T, riding her Suzuki Volusia 800 in the lot.



This is me, learning how to ride in first gear.


Easy does it.


This is fun!


I did it!

Oops, did I fail to mention I got my motorcycle permit a month or so ago? :-)

Thank you thank you. :-D I intend to take the same riding course T is registered to take at the end of next month. (It will be some time before I can afford to take it.) Right now we both only have our permits, but once she earns her license, I'll be able to practice more so I can take the course and earn my license.

Can I confess to you that I thought about you riding, JUST TODAY?!?!

Flyboy and I went out for a distance ride together (the BEST romantic dates, btw), and I wondered who else I knew that would EVER get to know how it feels to regularly ride a motorcycle.

Then I remembered you were heading in that direction; imagine my surprise to find your bad-ass self strolling around on LJ...

After riding on the back of the bike, while T drove around the lot, I can see why it is intimidating. Driving myself wasn't nearly as intimidating, though. It's a trust thing. :-)

I can see myself having my own bike, but for now I am content to drive hers or sit on the back of her looking cute. :-)

I had a ball! I can hardly wait for T to get her license so she can take me out on the road. (She can't double on the road until she is licensed.) And I definitely want to get the hang of driving, too!
