Getting up at 5:30 AM is made worse by the fact that it is dark and cold. So is my anxiety. I don't like the thoughts that greeted me upon waking.

I am through with you, winter. You can go away, now.

As a friend recently said, morning would be a lot more pleasant if it started later in the day.

Remember to get outside for some sunlight and exercise, unless the weather is really horrible. Wrap up and challenge the cold. It's much more renewing than exercising inside, probably because of the sunlight.

I recommend snuggling on a couch with a comforter and someone you love.

I prefer challenging the cold from the warmth of my house. We get lots of natural light from our east-facing windows, thank you. :-)

I need to find/make a good cold weather icon.
