Plans? What Plans?
Feb. 16th, 2010 06:28 pmWhen I left the office at the end of my shift, I intended to eat a healthy lunch, take a cat nap, and go out. I was going to dig out my car, take care of banking business, and pick up the last of our groceries. Then I was going to do laundry and make self-portraits.
Instead, I have played hours of Bejeweled Blitz on Facebook. I have snacked on peanut butter crackers and water all afternoon. I have listened to Sade's "Soldier of Love" album over and over and over and over. I have read LiveJournal entries.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my afternoon. :-)
The laundry and self-portraits may still happen, at least.

Date: 2010-02-17 12:14 am (UTC)Laundry, as we've discussed, can be a pleasure :) And self-portraits, why not?--creativity is a plus!
I've been writing on my novel every single night, from about 11 pm to 1 am. That's when my brain is loosest and goosiest and the house is quiet except for my SO's rambunctious snores, but I actually find that peaceful. I've been storing my writing materials in a little tote bag next to the bed, so out they come, and I prop myself against a pillow and get to it. Some amazing work is coming out. Can't/won't ask where it's coming from :) I sometimes hear the little voice asking, "Why now? Why not a year ago, HUH?!," but I tell that voice, nicely, to shush because the answer is that it's happening now and not a minute before or after, so be grateful and roll with it. Best kind of writing...I'm watching it come out from a point behind the back of my head, like I'm not in control, but the story is. This is when my best stuff happens. I like it.
Enjoy the rest of your evening!
