I love subway performers. In some cities, they need to audition and obtain a permit, so very often, they're quite talented. The Barenaked Ladies were originally buskers in Toronto, apparently.

I'm watching Joshua Bell perform with the NY Philharmonic on PBS, and I don't see what the article's author means by his attractiveness. He's a good violinist, no doubt. But I would not be one of the women flocking to get his autograph based on his appearance. And even as far as violinists go, I prefer Midori (http://www.gotomidori.com/).
