Times Square is an almost mythic place for me. I've never been to New York, and I can't even imagine what it's like to actually be in Times Square, much less have it be an ordinary part of one's life.
It is so facinating to see these images. Before friending you the person's eyes I saw NYC through was Yoko Ono. (And yeah, I have been lucky enough via a good friend of mine, who was a fan turned good friend of Yoko, to get to meet Yoko. :) Everyone has seen the Dakota, but I've never seen a photo of the building that had the top floor loft where Yoko did her first art shows in 1961 at 112 Chambers Street, nor the building that had the apartment John and Yoko lived in from 1971-3 at 105 Bank Street. If I ever visit NYC I have a number of places I'd love to see. Sadly, some of the places connected to Yoko and John and Yoko have closed, like the Cafe La Fortuna, and the Hit Factory New York.
