From a purely technical perspective, the photo of the bas relief is very impressive. Translating relief into a workable, even artistic, photo is a lot harder than with fully three-dimensional objects.

From an emotional/artistic perspective? *sigh* The black and white is perfect for the subject. So quiet, and yet so evocative. Ten points, definitely.

Oh, and I'm also impressed with your handling of black and white. It can be a difficult medium to work with, and you seem to have a good, firm grip on it.

Those are beautiful. The black and white style does a much better job, imo, than color photography at capturing the atmosphere and mood of the scene.

I thought about that, yesterday. I would like to take a trip to New Orleans' cemeteries; I hear they are a sight to behold and photograph. The last time I was there, I was a young girl, barely old enough to remember the cobblestones.
