Last Sunday I kept a promise to myself and caught "I Am Legend". I liked the movie so much, I will probably buy it when it comes out on DVD. I'll tell you this, though: my movie-mate was lucky he didn't end up wearing my soda, as much as I was jumping and shaking during the tense parts! Will Smith gave a perfectly believable performance as scientist Robert Neville, a man driven to fix a ginormous human error and nearly insane from years of solitude. Within a few minutes I was completely sucked in by his character and deeply cared about what he was experiencing. So go see it, if the storyline interests you. I think you'll like it, too.

I hate to say it, but I was disappointed with that film. I think I would have liked it better if they'd used real actors to portray the "zombies" rather than those computer generated figures. I kept thinking it looked like I Robot with veins and teeth added.

Those were computer-generated? Cool: I thought they were real actors, though in hindsight, I doubt real actors would have made as convincing non-humans. (They wouldn't have been nearly as swift and agile.) All the more reason for me to buy the DVD, provided they have documentaries on the disk!

man i loved it as well. it totally surpassed my expectations and i definitely think smith deserves an oscar nod, esp. when one considers much of his struggle was internal and he had little to no actors to play off of... brillz!

I continue to be impressed by Will Smith, as well as by Jada Pinkett-Smith. For starters, I never hear anything about either of them, except when they have a new project coming out. Lord knows if they were screwing up their lives, the white media in America would be all over that. But beyond that, they are both believable actors.

Will did a marvelous job, and I'm more impressed now that I know it was almost a one-man show. I hadn't known that going into the theatre.
