There's Nothing Like A Pedicure
May. 9th, 2009 01:45 amDue to a bunion, calluses, and an extra 25 or so pounds--I'm working on the extra weight--my feet are a sore spot for me. They tire easily, especially my bunion-inflicted left foot. If you are a trusted friend, a sure way to reduce me to a pile of mush is to give me a thorough foot massage. Part of the reason I tend to kick off my shoes at nearly every opportunity is because I am constantly running my arches over any firm thing I can find. I don't think my feet could ever get enough of massage.
Which is why I have had my feet in the vibrating, heated Dr. Scholl's Foot Bath for the past two hours. I've filed off months of dead skin; the new skin is tender and slightly sore from the pressure the calluses were putting on it. I feel like a reborn baby, and I am far more relaxed than I've been in a very long time. I'll need to do this more often.
In other news, tonight I am grateful for good friends and trustworthy family. Amen.
