I like this photo. It doesn't have a sharp enough DOF for me to use it for my initial intention, but it still has character. At some point I need to go back and use a smaller aperture to get the image and DOF I want.

Another Tool!

leepak cued me in on the wonders of using foil paper for fill light! The photo on the left was taken without fill light. The photo on the right was taken immediately afterwards, as I held a sheet of tin foil just outside of the lens' range to direct light from the window onto the side of my face.
