Fujifilm vs. Kodak
Oct. 3rd, 2009 06:22 pmWhen I shot with amateur 35mm color film, I switched from Kodak to Fujifilm after seeing how much more vibrant Fujifilm's colors were, and for a lower price. So far, it looks as though I prefer Fujifilm's professional black & white film over Kodak's. I made both of these photos on 25 September 2009 with my Minolta Maxxum 5 using autofocus and a polarizing filter.
Battery Park City Waterfront (Fujifilm Neopan 100 Acros)

Bryant Park (Kodak T-Max 100)

Even with my low-res scanner, the Fujifilm has a much nicer contrast between black and white than that Kodak. The image is also noticeably sharper on the Fujifilm. I still need to finish my roll of Ilford Delta 100 and compare that, but right now I am leaning heavily towards Fujifilm, again.
