Goin' to the Chapel

Yesterday T and I had the honor of attending the wedding and after-party for a good friend of hers. After 9 years of seeing each other through life's various ups and downs, they decided to legally tie the knot.

You know I took my camera and seated myself at the aisle and near the front, right?


Here comes the bride...





We thoroughly enjoyed celebrating this occasion with them, their families, and their other friends. There was marvelous food--I am craving more of that curried goat!!!--and even better music. That soca and reggae had me sweating by the time we left at 10 PM. I helped lead the electric slide, as the group seemed unsure of how to start it. And my Mary Kay consultant will be pleased to know my makeup(!) held up well to the challenge. :-)

OMG, I looove her gown. I'm a sucker for a tulle Cinderella-style skirt though.

That is two very handsome men, and a bride doing a fine job of being the most beautiful woman on earth for a special day. I hope they'll be every bit as happy as they looked for that kiss.

Provided I was in the healthier headspace I am now in regarding weddings, I think that would have been fun. I've been reconsidering my stance that I would not like to do weddings, as I've looked at my photos from that wedding. I believe my photos would come out far better than I'd previously supposed.
