One of Them Days
Oct. 21st, 2009 07:48 pmToday was one of those days where I was down about various things outside of my control, and nothing I did in the house seemed to shake the blues. Last I checked, moping around the house on my day off was not part of the plan! So, on a whim I threw my standard supplies (paper journal, favorite fountain and ballpoint pens, DSLR, iPod, and MetroCard) into my trusty, purple knapsack and left the house. I correctly assumed a ride on the Staten Island Ferry (and naps on the long subway rides to/from, as I couldn't bear the thought of sleeping at home, for some reason) would help lift my spirits.

Riding the Ferry

The Staten Island-bound ferry passes the Statue of Liberty
Tomorrow I am going to help photograph 53 classes at an elementary school in Brooklyn. Pray my strength. (Oh, who am I kidding...in spite of the fact that I don't look forward to waking at 5:30 AM, I can hardly wait to get back to work!)
