This afternoon I took a leisurely stroll through Central Park from East 93rd St. to West 72nd St. The day was cloudy and cold, but oh, what a wonderful way to spend the afternoon!

I am trying, really trying, to look at the grey winter scenery with the eye of a photographer. There isn't much in the way of color, but there is still something there...I just haven't put my finger on it, yet. Maybe it's more about texture than color for this season.

Thank you. I am a little apprehensive, because promoting my art (even just posting it here) means inviting criticism. But hiding it won't get me where I want to be in the long run.

I wasn't going to photograph this, but the roses made me do a double-take...I turned around, came back, and snapped three times to get this one.
