My beloved Colgate Actibrush needs a new head, but it is no longer on the market. Therefore, I need to replace my toothbrush with something inexpensive (under $25), yet effective. I prefer an electric toothbrush. Any suggestions?
Have you tried Ebay? I typed in "Colgate Actibrush" and found where someone's selling a lot of 12 new Actibrush heads for $6.99 plus $5 shipping. (I would have included the link, but it's ridiculously long.)
I've heard of TinyURL, but I've never used it, and I'd forgotten about it. Thanks for the reminder. :-)
When I used TinyURL, the Ebay link came out as:

If Ebay doesn't work out, you might try Big Lots (if they have those where you live) or scope out dollar stores. They carry closeouts and obscure items.
I've seen that, and I've also seen poor reviews for it here in the States. But opinions are like assholes: everyone's got one, and some of them stink. :-)
If you wanted to find a new one altogether, the Oral B Vitality (http://www.consumersearch.com/electric-toothbrushes/braun-oral-b-vitality-dual-clean) has gotten decent reviews and it looks to be around $20. I'm still using the old-school toothbrushes so I don't know from experience but I thought I'd send that along! :D
I have wondered how to compare them; every site has their claims of what their toothbrush can do. But I tend to believe Oral B is a good toothbrush; I don't know if that is just due to advertising, though.
I've bought old-style barrettes with no spring-boing-attack-the-head, old Bake-King pans, bottle openers with magnets to storing them out where you can find them, makeup for less than retail, or that I couldn't find elsewhere....and stuff for the boy for less than retail as well.
