Unbeknownst to me, there is an active drum and bugle corps movement outside of college. Yesterday T and I attended the fourth annual "Music under the Bridge", sponsored by Brooklyn United. It was held at the Kingsborough Community College Performing Arts Center and featured at least 12 senior drum and bugle corps from the New York Metropolitan area. For five hours the bands and various ensembles drummed and danced and had a grand time. T and I had a grand time, too! I made over 300 photos of the event.

So much for thinking band ends after high school or college. :-)

I *love* drum and bugle corps!! Haven't attended any competitions in a number of years but it's one of those things I'd like to do again.

I miss my kids being in marching band, like they were in high school. There's something very special about a small school's marching bands. Not too enough kids but they play their hearts out. I appreciate that kind of dedication.
