Dear Lord, Deliver Us
Mar. 25th, 2010 09:09 pmWhen someone mentions how unhealthy it is to blame victims for the wrongs done to them, it is not appropriate to question whether the person's poor choices put them in harm's way. A person making a poor choice (like walking naked down the street) does not make someone else harm them. The person who harmed them chose to do so, just like they could have chosen to keep going and not lay a hair on the naked person. The perpetrator's choice to harm someone is the only problem that needs addressing at that moment. Period.
Arguing otherwise does not prove your point. It only proves just how much you do not get it.
