Even twenty-something-year-old Cabbage Patch Dolls need TLC.

I unmatted Holly's curls and gave her a new 'do.

Now she's chillin' in a towel while her freshly washed clothes dry.

That's so cute. :) I never had one of those. My father thought toys were a waste of money. I had a Raggedy Ann that my grandfather bought me that I loved eternally.

I gave her to my niece when she was a day old. She still has her and she's 22. :)

Aw! I'm sad for little girl you, but I'm glad you got to love a Raggedy Ann.

My mom gave me Holly for Christmas of 1986, I think.

Oh, I did. Don't be sad. I usually played with my brother's GI Joe's more anyway. :)

1986? Hehe I graduated high school in 1984.

I figured you would. :-) As a matter of fact, I was thinking of you as I was combing her hair.

Wow!

Thanks! I don't get a lot of practice, so I took my time.

What a great series of photographs! I hope those go up in a gallery somewhere.

I like them, too. Whenever I see them, they will remind me of a late afternoon in the summer.

She's GORGEOUS!

All I had for a black dollbaby was a Love Notes Doll. Her hair wasn't half as gorgeous.

Isn't she pretty? I am pleased that I've taken such good care of her all of these years.

She's a Cabbage Patch Cornsilk doll. The original series had yarn hair, I think. Holly's series had hair you could wash and comb and brush.

Did she come with a birth certificate and a name? Holly Nadia is the name on my doll's. (I think...better check, LOL!)

I love this series, especially the last three. The shoe photo is just perfect to me.

I love the shoe photo. To bits, really, just love it.

And your dolly is so beautiful! I had a Cabbage Patch baby--I think it was a white baby with brown hair, brown eyes like me--but don't know what happened to it.

Aw, I'm so glad you put this up. (Maybe a little inspired by me, maybe? ;))

Either way, I loved the photos. Her hair is lovely. Andre (mine) was definitely in the first series. His yarn has was washed and "combed" and effectively beaten to a pulp. But I'm glad both of our little ones survived 20+ years :)

I forgot you have Andre! Holly sends her warmest regards to him from the East Coast.
