docjeff has shared with sunfell a Custom CSS fix that will disable the cross-posting checkboxes for many LJ styles. This fix will remove the boxes from your blog for anyone who views it.

I've tried it. It seems to work. If it does not work (if you can still see the checkboxes when commenting on my blog), please let me know.

If your FB or Twitter accounts were linked to your LJ account, the boxes would be clickable. Do you have your LJ set up so that you read the comment pages on other's blogs in your own style, rather than in their blog style?

Try to leave a comment on one of your own blog entries, and you'll see the "Repost" buttons. They'll be greyed out for you, because your LJ isn't connected to FB or Twitter, but they'll be visible.

I don't see the boxes any more when I comment on your journal. yay! Just applied this to my journal and tested it and it seems to work. Yay!

Wonderful! It won't work for all LJ themes, but it helps.

When I respond from my friend's feed it is there but I don't know if it would work or not.
