Genius, Eh?
Jun. 19th, 2009 09:31 amToday's TUT Note from the Universe starts with this sentence, "An unmistakable trait of every true genius, W, is their persistent awareness of how much more there is to know." Not only would this explain why I am often overwhelmed when trying to learn--i.e., trying to know inside and out, upside and down, with no stone left unturned--something new, it suggests that I am a genius for knowing nothing is as simple as it appears on the surface.
Hmmmm...interesting suggestion, and far more validating than the complaints I have heard from others about my "annoying" tendency to "over-think" and "over-analyze" things..

Date: 2009-06-19 03:10 pm (UTC)The only time "overthinking" is a problem, as far as I'm concerned, is when it causes emotional distress for the "overthinker". And no one (save, perhaps, the "overthinker's" therapist or soul mate, or the "overthinker" herself) is in a position to judge that.
Eally do like the idea of genius at work, though.
Signed,
Faerie Spark, who would like her muse to hear this.
