Today is the annual traffic nightmare in Manhattan known as the St. Patrick's Day Parade. My 5D and I are curbside on Fifth Avenue happily anticipating the start of the parade. In a half hour or so that empty street you see in the photo will be filled with dignitaries, NYFD, Irish step dancers, military platoons, and, best of all, men in skirts! (I know they are called kilts; leave me alone.) There shall be lots and lots of photos.
The weather today is sunny and clear, with a forecast high of 64F. It is a great day for a parade!
